Current Trainers
NOTE: If you are a newly approved trainer, please review the New Trainer Tasks. You'll also want to familiarize yourself with accessing your trainer record in E-Track, the OCWTP's new online learning management system.
The OCWTP collaborates with each new trainer to develop an individualized trainer development plan utilizing the Trainer Competencies. As a trainer matures, new needs are identified and new developmental activities are added to the Plan. Developmental Activities include:
It is important for trainers to be aware of their responsibilities and be familiar with the Trainer Policies. Trainers must also understand expectations regarding the training day, the payment process, and the evaluation process.
RTCs contract with trainers to present trainings in their respective regions. Therefore, it is important trainers are knowledgeable about RTC Standards.
Though the OCWTP has a significant number of standardized trainings, we also offer many trainer-developed specialized workshops that meet the needs of specific populations (ie. children with developmental delays). Each workshop a trainer develops is reviewed using the standardized workshop approval process.
The OCWTP regularly communicates with trainers in a variety of ways including use of the Common Ground, the Listserv, and Bridgeline calls. In addition, trainers can access workshop handouts and forms via an I-Backup account.
A yearly Trainer Conference is held to provide professional development, recognition, and opportunities for networking.
