Partnering With Youth, a guide made possible by a federal grant from the Children’s Bureau in 2003, was developed through a collaborative effort involving professionals from several states. This document sets forth principles and concepts for involving youth in care in child welfare training and curriculum development. It recognizes the value of youth voice and the importance of creating youth/adult partnerships in strengthening the effectiveness of a training system.
